Marketing Manager – Advertising Sales
The Human Events Group, a division of Eagle Publishing, Inc.
is looking for a Marketing Manager to support the efforts of our
growing Advertising Sales department. This individual will
support the Ad Sales team and manage the corresponding
relationship with Marketing. The Marketing Manager will report
to the Director of Marketing and work closely with the sales and
marketing teams to develop collateral and create in-depth,
out-of-the box sales presentations and media kits.
This role will provide account support to the Ad Sales team by
coordinating sales related projects such as developing marketing
strategies, determining target audiences, gathering data and
running reports, and prospecting leads.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare proposals, agreements, sales reports, and presentations (including media kits).
- Liaison between Advertising and Marketing teams to ensure consistencies in messaging, branding, and contact strategy.
- Manage inventory of sales materials including issues of publications, flyers, media kits, etc. and distribute sales collateral to clients and internal team members.
- Manage advertising schedules and editorial calendars.
- Support the sales team in attaining sales targets.
- Assist in online data gathering.
- Provide general administrative support for both the Ad Sales and Marketing teams.
Skills and Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years’ experience in an Advertising Sales support role a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent writing skills.
- Familiarity with online advertising and related terminology.
- Great communication skills; relationship-builder with the ability to liaison with members of various departments, vendors, and clients.
- Well organized professional with high capacity to multitask and prioritize.

Editorial
Manager
The Editorial Manager for Eagle Wellness will lead the editorial
strategy and operations for Eagle Wellness. The person in this
role will work closely with the group's outside medical experts
and internal marketing teams to develop and deliver content
across channels that not only engages readers and customers but
also supports critical business objectives.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited
to: Setting the editorial voice, approach and calendar for
several alternative health properties including weekly health
eLetters, websites, social media websites and videos; Editing
and/or producing information-focused content on a variety of
alternative health topics that can be delivered across multiple
channels, while also supporting marketing goals for the
business; Managing the development of in-depth printed special
reports and multi-media health programs; and any other
content-focused initiatives for the group.
Candidate Requirements:
* 7+ years in a copywriting/editing role, with an emphasis on
consumer-focused content. Experience working in the consumer
alternative health category a plus. Must supply a portfolio of
writing samples.
* Experience writing and editing content for electronic
newsletters and websites required.
* Ability to produce content to be used across different types
of media such as video, audio, print and web. Knowledge of
social media techniques a plus.
* Ideal candidate will have an understanding and knowledge
(professionally or personally) of the alternative health and
supplement space.
* Ability to interact with professional medical doctors and
produce content that reflects their expertise and knowledge, but
is also clear and straight-forward enough for the typical
consumer to understand.
* Experience managing freelance writers as well leading an
internal editorial team.
* Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
simultaneously is a must.
* Computer software expertise in Microsoft Office Suite as well
as familiarity with Web analytics and deliver tools, with an
emphasis on utilizing online CMS tools, reviewing web analytics
and SEO results. Experience with Adobe publishing tools a plus.

Human Events, the nation's oldest, most respected conservative news outlet, is seeking an experienced political reporter in its Washington, D.C. office. This reporter must have a deep understanding of the numerous issues and events driving conservative political discourse. The applicant should be knowledgeable about politics in general, the economy, international affairs, business and culture. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or the equivalent
- Experience working in a real-time news environment
- Minimum of three years of political journalism experience
- Ability to write quickly, concisely and accurately under deadline pressure
- Experience covering government -- Experience working on Capitol Hill is a plus

- A curious mind and a scrappy passion for reporting
- Demonstrable attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the government, economy, financial markets and industry is essential
