About Salem Eagle

Eagle Publishing was founded in 1993 by Tom Phillips to fill a void Mr. Phillips perceived in the leadership of conservative publishing. In creating Eagle, Mr. Phillips envisioned a company to spread the message of conservatism and self-reliance, and to do so on a profitable basis. Twenty years later, Salem Eagle now plays a significant role in influencing the national debate. Through its dozens of bestselling books, influential websites, large-circulation e-letters, interactive internet communities, or face-to-face gatherings, Salem Eagle effectively identifies and amplifies powerful voices for liberty, including experts in conservative public-policy principles, health and wellness, and self-directed investing.

Salem Eagle’s most valuable resource is certainly its people. Executive Management Team

Roger Michalski, VP & Group Publisher, Financial Publications Division

Mr. Michalski graduated with a degree in marketing from Radford University. Immediately drawn to publishing, he learned the business from the inside out by first starting in list management and marketing more than 20 years ago. He later held top marketing positions at St. Anthony Publishing. Mr. Michalski last served as Catalogue Marketing Manager at the Smithsonian Institution before joining Eagle in 2001. He has been an invited speaker and presenter at many conferences, including The Money Show, Freedom Festival, and Specialized Information Publishers Association.

Marjory G. Ross, President and Publisher, Regnery Publishing, Inc.

Ms. Ross earned a BA from Dartmouth College and a MA from  American University. After stints at the American Institute of Architects and the Washington Business Journal, she joined Phillips Publishing, Inc. in 1986, and served as Executive Editor and Group Publisher for many of their financial newsletters. Ms. Ross joined Regnery in 1999. Now a nationally recognized leader in the field of book publishing, Ms. Ross is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, and is often quoted on major news outlets. Ms. Ross was named Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute’s 2005 Woman of the Year. She also serves on the Institute’s board.
